Renting a vehicle with us requires:
- To rent a vehicle from Car Hire in Stafford, drivers must be at least 21 years old, although restrictions may apply based on vehicle type, with extra fees for those under 25. A valid driving licence, appropriate for the vehicle category, is required, along with identification and proof of current address. Valid payment information and a security deposit are also necessary, along with any other criteria outlined in the Rental Agreement.
Booking and Payments
- Reservations can be made via our website, by telephone, or at our Stafford office. A deposit may be necessary to confirm your booking. The remaining balance and a security deposit are usually required upon vehicle pickup. All prices are listed in British Pounds (£) and include applicable VAT. We accept major credit and debit cards, processed securely through trusted payment systems.
Vehicle Pick-Up and Drop-Off
- At the time of vehicle collection, you are required to conduct a thorough inspection and report any pre-existing damage without delay. A vehicle condition report will be completed and signed by both parties. It is your responsibility to return the vehicle in the same condition as it was collected, accounting for normal wear and tear. Any new damage will be evaluated and charged accordingly. You will be liable for any damage or loss up to the insurance excess, unless you have opted for additional coverage. 7. Restricted Activities
Prohibited Uses of Rental Vehicle
- The vehicle must not be used for any unlawful activities. Engaging in racing, rallying, off-roading, or other risky behaviors is prohibited. Transporting hazardous materials is not allowed. Sub-letting to others or permitting unauthorized drivers is strictly forbidden. Operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs is unacceptable. Additionally, using the vehicle for purposes it was not designed for, exceeding passenger or weight limits, and driving beyond the agreed geographical boundaries without authorization are all violations of our terms.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental termination and extra fees.
8. Liability Limitations
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire Stafford is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, related to your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims will not exceed the amount you paid for your rental in the last 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence or fraud.
